Doorknocking for clean water
This autumn, CCI Action members from the Quad Cities and around the state are canvassing - they're hitting the streets in Davenport to talk to folks about the importance of clean water. Our members are having fun - but even more than that, they're making a difference. Folks have had great conversations about what CCI Action members are doing to clean up Iowa’s dirty water, and how Senator Joe Seng can assist us in those efforts. And we've gathered dozens more signatures for a petition we’re circulating statewide calling on the DNR to finally enforce the Clean Water Act in Iowa.On Saturday, September 14th, CCI Action members knocked on 108 doors, had 48 clean water conversations, and garnered 39 clean water petition signatures. On Saturday, September 28th, CCI Action members were at it again. We knocked on 125 doors, had 74 conversations, and got 67 more petition signatures. And if you weren’t able to join us for a canvas, don’t worry – we’ve got another opportunity to stand up for clean water right around the corner! We’re holding another day of door-knocking in Davenport on Saturday, October 12th.For more information & to let us know you can make it, contact us.
