What is Movement Politics?

“Business as usual” politics isn't working for everyday people or our planet. It only takes knocking on a few doors or making a few calls in any given neighborhood to know that most folks feel the same way. People are turned off and tuned out.But CCI Action members are working heart and soul to change that. We're excited to do politics differently. We call it movement politics. What does that mean exactly? Take a look at this chart, developed after a series of meetings with our members across the state. What is Movement Politics chart PDFThese principles are a big reason why we endorsed Cathy Glasson for Governor. Her campaign is doing politics differently. The goal is to elect a BOLD, PROGRESSIVE into office, but to also build a stronger people's movement in the process. Real change has always required people in action -- and not just at election time.
