CCI Action endorses Kimberly Graham for Polk County Attorney
Elections are a means to advance our organizing campaigns. And when it comes to racial justice and policing, we need elected officials who will work *with* us to ensure police accountability and prosecute police misconduct.
📣That’s why we’re excited to endorse Kimberly Graham for Polk County Attorney
We believe that in our communities - no matter our race, neighborhood, background, ability, or genders - everyone deserves to feel safe in their homes and community, and free to exist without the threat of discrimination or violence.
Yet in the wake of the social justice protests following the death of George Floyd, we’ve witnessed the Polk County Attorney’s office that target protesters over police brutality. Electing Kimberly as county attorney is a clear path to advance our fight for racial justice and ending police violence.
“Kimberly Graham is a passionate fighter for equitable and racial justice. She would bring needed change to an office that has neglected to prosecute police misconduct and too often focused solely on punishment and incarceration. Kimberly truly is of, by, and for the people.”
– Chris Robinson, CCI Action member from Des Moines
