 8:30 am                “People’s Iowa” Wall, Social Time & Individual Lobbying– First Floor RotundaRe-connect with old friends, meet new ones and get up to speed on our issues.  Add your message to our “People’s Iowa” Wall. 9:30 am                Welcome, Overview of Day & Call to Action 9:45 am                The People’s HallwayWe will line key hallways to spread our message and make our presence known as Governor Branstad makes his way to the House chamber. 10:00 am              The Governor’s “Condition of the State” Speech – House Chamber 11:00 am              “Money Out, People In” Rally – First Floor RotundaTogether we'll respond directly to Governor Branstad’s pro-corporate agenda with our own address that calls on Iowa’s elected officials to stand with everyday Iowans. 11:45 am              Lunch and Individual Lobbying – Cafeteria and 2nd Floor Rotunda 12:15 pm              Meeting w/ Senator Hatch on Medicaid Expansion – Room 116Sen. Hatch will explain how we would benefit from expansion and what, or who, is standing in the way. 12:30 pm              Meetings with Legislators on Key Issues – First Floor Rotunda

 1:15 pm                Environmental Protection Commission (EPC) Meeting Overview – First Floor RotundaThe citizen oversight board of the DNR will be voting on the ABI rule, which would force the DNR to take a hands-off approach to factory farm enforcement. 2:00 pm                EPC Meeting – Wallace Building AuditoriumThe EPC will hear public comment on the ABI Rule and vote on the rule. 3:30 pm                Debrief, Call to Action & AdjournWe’ll discuss how the day went and next steps. And, we’ll be joined by special guest Sen. Joe Bolkcom for closing comments.                                        (Times subject to change slightly)

The best way to ensure you talk to your legislators is to let them know you are coming and try to schedule a time and place to meet.
