Nuns on the Bus are coming to Iowa!

Nuns on the Bus are on the road and headed to Iowa on September 17! They are driving through various states so “We the People” can stand up against big money in the 2014 midterm elections. Fighting to put people before profits sure rings a bell!"We want to educate people on what's going on in our Congress, and make sure they push back against hijacking our nation," said Sister Simone Campbell who heads Network, the Catholic social justice lobby group that comprises Nuns on the Bus. We're hosting the Nuns on the Bus for a day of excitement:

Be sure to click on any of the events to join us - you don't get to spend time with these ladies too often! Check out their complete schedule for Iowa, here. Here's a little bit more about what the Nuns on the Bus believe, and what they are fighting for:

"We the People, in order to form a more perfect union, must:

Vote: Strong voter turnout overpowers the influence of big money in politics. Dollars can’t vote, you can.

Encourage Others to Vote: When we encourage people to vote, we make sure that the voices of the 100% are heard. Urge and help others to vote.

Hold Candidates Responsible: When we demand that candidates commit to policies that benefit the 100%, we can all hold them accountable when elected. When the people vote, politicians listen."
