CCI Action Fund endorses Nate Boulton for State Senate in district 16

CCI Action Fund Board of Directors note commitment to people and planet first issues and willingness to stand on principles in reason to endorse

CCI Action Fund formally endorsed Nate Boulton in the Democratic primary race for state senator in district 16 which covers the east side of Des Moines and Pleasant Hill.

“Mr. Boulton’s responses to issues important to CCI Action Fund members and everyday Iowans rose above the rest,” said Barb Kalbach, a 4th generation family farmer and CCI Action Fund Board President from Dexter, Iowa.  “He has shown that he will stand with everyday Iowans to fight for a living wage, hold corporate ag polluters accountable, crack down on predatory payday lending, and more”.

“Nate knows the needs of our community and neighborhoods and will represent the ‘people’ of District 16 and fight against the influence of concentrated wealth and corporate self interest that undermines the quality of life for me and my Eastside neighbors,” said Cherie Mortice, CCI Action Fund member and resident in Senate District 16.

CCI Action Fund is committed to taking on big money special interests and electing real progressives that will put people first to change “business as usual” politics. CCI Action Fund members plan to canvass district 16 leading up to the June 7 primary educating voters about critical issues facing everyday Iowans and to support Nate Boulton in the primary election. Can you help door knock or make phone calls to change "business as usual" politics?Sign up for 1, 2, or more shifts here!
