Knocktober: Canvass with us!

nuns

Take three hours out of your life to join our many mighty members as we knock on the doors of Des Moines citizens and talk with them about the minimum wage.

We’ll make sure that folks know there is a clear distinction between Senate candidates on the issue and additionally provide them with every resource they need in order to ensure their vote is counted in 2014. Volunteers will be going out in pairs, we’ll be knocking during daylight, and it will be fun!

General elections are ever-shrinking moments that allow us the opportunity to unify people around our issues and build toward something bigger. Every day our canvass is reaching into underserved communities and talking with potential voters about raising the minimum wage and how it pertains to the ’14 election—but we can’t do it alone.

If we want to win a higher wage we need to add to build the momentum. If we don’t, we miss a HUGE OPPORTUNITY to build for long term gains down the road. Please join us!
