Find a legislative coffee in your area

Throughout the session, usually on Fridays and Saturdays, state legislators hold short meetings (or “coffees”) with constituents in their home districts. This is an important space to engage with your legislator face-to-face, raise up issues important to you, and call on them to stand on the side of the people.

Why go to your local legislative meetings?

We want to be a powerful fight-back force across the state this session. We need to be in front of as many legislators in their home districts, talking with them directly about our top legislative priorities.

As in years past, if you can’t make it to the Statehouse, attending meetings with legislators in your area is a great way to lift up our People & Planet First Agenda. Share your story, ask pointed questions and let legislators know you support a moratorium on factory farms, healthcare for all, and that Iowa is a welcoming state! It’s a great way to meet like-minded folks and tell them about Iowa CCI Action!
