ALERT: Dangerous corporate power bill on the move
When community rights are under attack, what do we do? Stand up, fight back!
A bill that lowers the county minimum wage increase for 100K Iowans is on the move … but this bill is even more dastardly than that.
HF 295 (formerly HSB92), which passed out of committee and now heads to the House floor, is a corporate power grab that restricts local governments – and local people, and local democracy – from setting local labor regulations, civil rights protections, and more.
>>House Democrats have called a public hearing on this bill. It’ll be Wednesday at the soonest.
Whether your issue is pushing a living wage, fighting factory farms to stand up for clean water, or racial justice – this bill threatens it all.
Help us show strong opposition to this bill.
